My first kayak. It’s helping me through my last and worst night of study.
Summer starts tomorrow at 11 30. I am so excited. This kayak and I are going cool places this summer. I can feel it.
NZ kayakers and conservationists are fighting hard to stop the Mokihinui River from being dammed.
14km of wonderful rapid filled gorge will disappear under 80m of water. 330 hectares of the most wild and giant West Coast rainforest will be lost. All of which provide the habitat for 17 native species.
I hope not. The Mokihinui River is breathtaking

Took the weekend off kayaking to relax and study…

Throw caution to the wind, book tickets tonight, ignore all the jobs I’ve applied for, with no guarantee of work….
… To spend an amazing summer with my super crazy best friend, who always has the best adventures…
… Where it’s warm, sunny, the kayaking is fantastic, the surf is fantastic, and my favorite American will be there.
WOW I am terrified
Day Light Savings!!
…Is almost better than Christmas in my books. I hope the surf is good tomorrow… Because there will be enough light for me to get in the sea after Uni!
Time to shake the Winter blues off.
